Olathe West had a fantastic meet last night. They finished 2nd overall as a team and all three Varsity gymnasts were rock solid on all four events.

Senior Makenzie Juneau finished 3rd in All-Around and Vault, 2nd on Bars and 4th on Beam.

Two newcomers to the Olathe West gymnastic’s team had an immediate impact in their first high school meet. Alexis Purdy finished 1st in All-Around and Vault with an incredible 9.1 on Vault. She placed 2nd on Beam and Floor and finished 3rd on Bars. Dari Johnson finished 5th on Beam and 6th in the All-Around.

Olathe West will be back in action September 22nd. They will be the host school and will compete against Olathe East, Olathe North, Olathe Northwest, Lawrence High and Lawrence Free State at Mill Creek @ 5:30. Be on the look out for a live stream link on social media.
